This site used to be WirtzSucks.com. But for obviously reasons, namely the passing of Chicago Blackhawk owner Bill Wirtz, the name was retired and Blackhawkzone.com was born again.

Originally started in 2000, WirtzSucks.com grew to become a very popular fan-based website for the Blackhawks. In addition to the friendships that have been formed, including a marriage between a pair of die-hards, the site has provided countless ego boosts and has gotten bigger than I ever imagined it would.

While nothing could ever replace the original Blackhawkzone.com that former webmaster Frank Porcelli developed, this site will attempt to do just that: to provide a place for fans to get information on the Blackhawks, post their thoughts and opinions on the message boards and write game summaries and commentaries.
